About Us

Your Child Is in Great Hands

Mission & Vision

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide a caring and safe environment to infants, toddlers, and preschool aged, and school aged children by building positive relationships with each child and their family. Team Members will create developmentally appropriate activities and games for children to actively engage and participate in. Continued training will be provided for Team Members to ensure high quality child care is provided to children of all ages.

Vision Statement

Bright Minds provides high quality child care through dedicated and educated staff. Our facility is clean and inviting to families and children. As I walk in, I see children engaged in various activities with other children and Kids Activities Team Members. Team Members are down at children’s levels when engaged in activities and are actively monitoring all children by scanning their zone every 15 seconds.

Values

Our values start by creating an extended family community for our children we care for and their families. We value our staff’s education and experience in caring for children to provide high quality care. We continue to provide appropriate training to all staff to provide the best child care.

Health & Safety

Bright Minds has developed policies to create a safe and caring environment for your child(ren) and family. We will make every effort to minimize the spread of germs and bacteria by continuously sanitizing and disinfecting all surfaces. If you have questions about a policy or procedure, please speak to the manager.

Illness: Children will undergo a daily health check to ensure everyone is healthy. If your child presents any of the following symptoms, we will ask for you to take your child home:

  • Has had a temp of 100’ or more in the past 24 hours.

  • Has been on antibiotics for less than 24 hours for any bacterial infection.

  • After 24 hours, your child may return and be accompanied by medications if needed. The following bacterial infections must be treated with antibiotics for 24 hours before your child is allowed back at Bright Minds Kids Zone;

    • strep throat, scarlet fever, impetigo, bacterial conjunctivitis (pinkeye), and skin infections such as draining burn or infected wounds or hangnails-DPHHS

  • Has croup or thick green or yellow nasal discharge accompanied by a persistent cough.

  • Has had diarrhea or vomiting in the last 24 hours.

“Vomiting includes two or more episodes in the previous 24 hours. Diarrhea is defined as an increased number of stools, increased water in the stool, and/or decreased form to the stool that cannot be contained by a diaper or clothing” DPHHS

  • Has symptoms of pink eye (redness and matting).

  • Has head lice/nits or scabies.

  • Signs of Chickenpox. Your child will not be admitted back into Bright Minds Kids Zone until all sores are dried, typically 5-7 days.

*Remember, children well enough to be in childcare are also well enough to play with the rest of the group each day. If your child presents symptoms of illness or is taking a teacher away from the group continually throughout the day, you will be called to have your child picked up.

COVID-19 or other Communicable Diseases

Parents are required to do a daily health screen of their child prior to arrival at Bright Minds. Your daily health screen should include, taking your child’s temperature, checking for cough or shortness of breath, fever of 99’F or above, exposure to anyone who has had COVID-19, or if your child is not feeling well enough to play. Staff will closely monitor children and any arising symptoms that may be a concern. We may ask for a doctor’s note for your child to continue care if there are symptoms that we feel are concerning.
